Certified Novell Administrators (CNAs) provide companies direct support for software users in various work environments, including professional offices and small businesses, workgroups or departments, and corporate information services (IS).

CNAs provide companies direct support for software users in various work environments including professional offices and small businesses, work groups or departments, and corporate information services (IS).

Course Details

Foundations of Novell Networking: NetWare 6 (Course 3001) provides students with basic knowledge about implementing NetWare 6 and using its management tools. Specifically, students will focus on 7 key learning areas:

• Installing and Using NetWare 6
• Managing Novell eDirectory
• Managing Printing
• Managing Storage Space
• Managing email and Instant Messaging Services
• Implementing Internet Services
• Managing Security

Students will also use the Digital Airlines scenarios and multiple lab exercises to practice their skills and reinforce the concepts they learn.

Audience Profile

Students looking to attend this course should have some experience with networking topics but do not need experience with NetWare. Specifically this experience should be with networking hardware, the OSI model, topologies, basic TCP/IP and conceptual knowledge of different protocols.
