You will learn how to define, analyze, and manage your company's products with Microsoft DynamicsT SL Bill of Material.
The Microsoft Dynamics SL Bill of Material class explores all aspects of the Bill of Material module from initial setup of the Bill of Material and components, through the end point of production completion which updates the Inventory quantities. You learn about the comprehensive features included in three important manufacturing categories - Bill of Material, Production Routings, and Product Costing. You also learn how the Bill of Material module provides support for costing and production of manufactured and assembled goods.
You learn how to manage and view product structures using a familiar "explorer" type tool, navigating up and down the tree that represents the parent/child relationships between parts. We show you how to identify items to be used in the manufacturing process and what quantities are required, and how these quantities can be adjusted by designated scrap factors.
We show you how, for each Bill of Material, to define and document a corresponding routing, from simple - using minimal labor information - to complex, focusing on move and queue time.
You learn how to use the robust update and rollup standard cost tools included in Bill of Material to make your job easier. We show you how you can monitor inventory quantities and costs more closely. By backflushing inventory deductions, production entry can explode sub-assemblies into component requirements, helping ensure you keep accurate inventory levels for component, sub-assembly, and finished goods items.
Bill of Material training is recommended for anyone who plans to implement, use, maintain, consult, or support Microsoft Dynamics SL. The class is targeted toward administrators, office managers, CEO's, and consultants who need to understand the technical aspects of Bill of Material and gain foundational knowledge of the application functionality.
