About This Course

This one-day instructor-led course provides students with the knowledge of what is new in Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 Service Pack 1 (SP1). The course provides explanation of how to install and configure Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 SP1, describes new features in Page and Report Designer, changes in developing Web Services solutions, and other partner productivity features.

Audience Profile

This course is intended for IT Professionals, Consultants, and Developers who have experience with previous versions of Microsoft Dynamics NAV, primarily Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009.

Prerequites

Before attending this course, students must have:

• Knowledge equivalent to the Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 Introduction and Development courses.
• General knowledge of basic ERP user roles
• Basic programming knowledge

At Course Completion

After completing this course, students will be able to:

• Install and setup Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 SP1 on multiple installation scenarios.
• Configure the RoleTailored client and configure language modules in Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 SP1.
• Describe improvements in page objects, Page Designer, matrix pages, and create matrix pages.
• Describe improvements in report objects, Report Designer, and create matrix reports.
• Describe how to install, configure, and develop RoleTailored client control add-ins.
• Describe improvements in Web Services and configure Web Services with Delegation.
• Describe new C/AL functions, application testing features, and other partner productivity improvements in Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2009 SP1.
