About This Course

Elements of this syllabus are subject to change.

This half-day instructor-led clinic provides developers with an introduction to the BizTalk Server 2006 development environment, as well as the BizTalk messaging and orchestrations services. This clinic will highlight features and functionality through demonstrations of common developer tasks.

Audience Profile

The target audience for this clinic consists of Microsoft .NET developers who want an overview of how to use BizTalk to develop BizTalk messaging and process integration solutions.

Prerequites

Before attending this course, students must have:

• 1-2 years developing enterprise-level applications
• Background in Microsoft .NET concepts and technology
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003
• Working knowledge of XML
• No prior BizTalk experience is necessary

• Describe the types of transactions that can be created in an orchestration.
• Explain how Web services can be integrated into an orchestration.
• Describe how messages can be monitored in BizTalk.
• Describe how Business Activity Monitoring is enabled.
• Describe how trading partners can be integrated into an orchestration.
